Dr. Laura Schelly is a Peoria native. Her father, Dr. Robert Schelly, practiced in Peoria starting in 1949 and Dr. Laura was able to work with him for 6 years before he retired. Dr. Schelly graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1989 and celebrates 30 years in practice this year. Dr. Schelly is proficient in manually (with the hands) adjusting and use of the Activator Method which uses a small tool giving a gentle “thump” to adjust. The treatment technique used is based on the age, health and severity of pain the patient is experiencing as well as patient preference.
Leah Ehrat graduated from the Illinois Central College Massage Therapy program in 2008 and has been working for Schelly Chiropractic since 2009. Leah's style of massage is a combination of relaxation & therapeutic techniques. She specializes in deep tissue and Swedish massage. Her clients range from teenagers to senior citizens and every massage is designed to fit the needs of each individual.
"The value of having a chiropractor and massage therapist in the same office can't be overstated. Leah's work helps all of my treatments last longer." says Dr. Schelly.
